I made this as a Christmas gift for my Aunt who is a Michigan State Alumni. I used cheap Lowe’s plywood which unexpectedly produced a great effect, but at a cost. On a test piece the tinted metallic green epoxy bleed through and didn’t come out well. I ended up used clear epoxy to seal up the board before using the green epoxy. This worked out perfectly.

Wow this is NICE ! It must have taken forever to cut and glue those strips of plywood ? or was it sold this way (endgrain-style) ?
Hi Julian, I made the boards. It did take some time but the effect was great. I did the same with some Baltic Birch plywood and ins’t as dramatic.
Thanks,
