I have a lot of Microsoft C++ versions installed on my Windows laptop. It is possible that other applications installed different versions but I suspect that Carbide Create installed most of these.
Should I uninstall all but the latest version. I installed CC 870 a few minutes ago and saw that a new version of Microsoft C++ was installed?
Here are the versions installed on my Windows 11 OS.
I think we’ve only used 2-3 different versions going back 10 years.
Is VCC++ backwards compatible? Is it OK to uninstall all but the latest version or do older programs need the older versions?
There are a lot of programs on my laptop. Not sure who installed all these versions but I know CC does almost everytime I have upgraded my CC. Since they are relatively small I will just leave them alone because I dont want to break something else.
