Missing files and error message when looking for my last project

has anyone else experienced getting an error message when attempting to open a file in the carbide program to work on a project?

I’ve experienced it in several other programs using the ā€œRecent Filesā€ option. Usually because I cleaned up some folders & moved files & the file is no longer in the same folder as when it was saved.

So how would I be able to find it? or is it just gone… never to be seen again?

Use the built in search functions of your OS for all or partial file names on all of your media.

This is why part of CNC usage is knowing how to manage files and why backup is so important.

As Bill mentioned, if you moved it you can find it with a search in the file manager.
If you deleted it, it will still be in the Recycle Bin until you empty it. You can Restore it from there.

Thx.

I’m new to this stuff and am learning the process. Have been saving within the software itself until files came up missing today. I will search the OS as deeply as I can as suggested and will definitely be keeping a master Flash drive with all my designs on it for this sort of thing.

thx again for all the help : )
