I’ve been having a problem lately with Motion wanting me to set the router speed to 5 (24000 RPM) regardless of the speed I set in Create. It’s almost like Motion is ignoring the feed / speed set in Create.
Not sure what to do about it. I have to override the speed to about 70% and just turn the router speed down to avoid my Shapeoko from whining too loud.
Any suggestions on what is wrong or how to address this?
Which version of Carbide Motion are you using?
Did you configure for a VFD or BitRunner?
Which controller version do you have?
This has been going on for some time. @WillAdams is asking a lot of questions but try to answer him so we can all see if this is a setup problem or a bug.
My SO3 XXL with HDZ and Dewalt router says the 24000 on every tool path. I have verified in CC that the RPM set is not 24000. Frankly I seldom move my Dewalt router off 18000. So I basically ignore the 24000 RPM message. I have a BitRunner v1 and I believe I have that set in the setup. Next time I use my SO3 I will go through setup.
