I’m paying off some of the project debt (incurred on my behalf by my wife) and knocking out a charcuterie board promised to my sister in law. To personalize the board with a bold splash of color, I elected to add an epoxy inlay to the board. And because I’m a below-average woodworker with an under-equipped shop, I’m using a commercially available board as a starting point.
This video covers the process of taking that off-the-shelf stock and improving/customizing it into something my sister-in-law will hopefully appreciate for years to come.
I also put together an example file for a different design (NASA logo) in case anyone wants to dissect my toolpaths/process and try their hand at something like this, you can download that project file here: Charcuterie Board w/ NASA Epoxy Inlay by wsmoy
