Multiple Toolpaths created, 1 toolpath seen in Motion

I am working on a project with different bits (2 VCarve, 1 contour). When exporting G-Code in Carbide Create Pro (as I have done many times successfully), I would normally upload the file (.nc) in Carbide Motion and the software would recognize that the project has several bits, and prompt me to do the bit changes (using bitsetter). However, on this latest project, for which I am not doing anything different, Carbide Motion only sees one bit. At the end of carving one toolpath, it prompts me to change the RPM for the next toolpath, but not to change the bit. It then proceeds with carving the next toolpath with the previous bit (using the RPM of the second bit).

The project has been recreated and toolpaths re-entered from scratch, same issue.

I am using Carbide Create PRO Build 776, Carbide motion 662 on a Shapoko pro XL.

Not new at using this machine, never had this problem before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

What are the tool numbers? Are they different?

Upload the file?

Spence V2.0.c2d (380 KB)

The personal Tool library I created pretty much all have #1 as their numbers. it has never been an issue before, it has been set up like that since I got the CNC. Could that be it though?

Yes, in order for a tool change to work, the tool # for the two tool paths must be different — consider the case of consecutive toolpaths using the same too (say a pocket followed by a pocket-first Adv. V carving where both use a #201), there shouldn’t be a tool change betwixt them.
