My solution to the "Sweepy - The Dust Boot That Sucks" problem

# Since I did not see any solution around to the problem other than “set the cutter longer than the brushes” or “just remove the brushes when you are cutting” or “trim them”, I decided to make my own modification, considering that just replacing the brushes with softer ones would not solve the problem but put softer bent brushes too close to the cutter.

Using the top part of the Sweepy (which I consider of great and efficient design) I created a bottom part much larger and that connect to the existing top part. Being larger allows the brushes to adapt to the different levels of the object being cut and the clamps, but still create a very good vacuum.

I used 1/2" policarbonate and brushes that I find in Amazon.

Since the piece is quite heavier than the original one the 4 small magnets were not enough to hold it in place, I added 2 swinging tabs that lock the bottom part to the top one securely without the need of tools, Just open them and the bottom part is out to change the cutter.

Sorry for the large font< i don’t know why it changed

You had octothorpes at the beginning of each of those paragraphs (you can see the source of a post by going in and editing it)

I don’t know where they came from, I normally write my text in Word for the spellchecker and after a past it. English is not my first language.

Probably introduced by your web browser trying to interpret the formatting of the txt — they mark the text as an H1 head.

Thank You, now I know
