My work now selling on The Grommet

It’s taken a few years and a lot of trial and error (a lot of error). But today my puzzle rocker is launching as a new product on the Grommet website. I posted a picture here of the puzzle rocker a while back. I am selling this as a flat pack, 3D wooden puzzle. I make these on my 5 pro. and have whittled (pardon my pun) the production time down to 14 minutes per kit. If you are not familiar with the Grommet, they are a site that promotes new products and inventions. Each Thursday they showcase 5 or 6 new products to their community of 2.5M members. If someone likes your product and gives you an “upvote” they receive a 20% discount off the purchase price. Today is the Puzzle Rockers moment in the sun.

So here’s the update after nearly one month on The Grommet. I’ve sold 14 kits so far. My page will stay active until one of us pulls it. The kits have gone all over the US. I’m pretty happy to see how my little 3D puzzle that no one knew about is now out there in a big way.

One interesting thing did happen the week of the launch. A talent agency representing Howie Mandrel contacted me. They were interested in having Howie be an influencer in a 30 second video of my Puzzle Rocker to air on America’s got talent. After a brief discussion we both agreed that due the infancy of my operation, this was going to be too much of a stretch. The door has remained open to re-ignite the conversation in the future. It’s not lost on me that a guy operating in a two-car garage — working solo can have that kind of conversation. All I could can say is wow!
