Someone found this thing at my office and assumed it was from my decor/scenic area. I can’t get great results trying to describe it in a search engine. I hoped some experienced eyes might recognize it, even if it’s not for a CNC machine.
It’s 1/8" diameter, all the way through. It has 3 downcut flutes. The tip is blunt, conical, and solid for 2-7mm before the bottom-most edge of the flutes begin. I would assume it has to be some kind of lateral-engagement geometry because the tip wouldn’t allow flutes to engage unless it was beyond the bottom of a stock of material. Maybe it’s for a trimming operation, though I can’t imagine where that would have come from in my shop.
