Narrow Contour Cuts

I just realized the Contour tool path does not have a Rest feature. I want to cut this flag out, but it already takes 1-1/2 hours with a 1/8" EM. I need to get into those tight tatters on the edges with a 1/16". I just drew some lines around the tight edges and assigned them a path with the 1/16 after the 1/8 has cut completely through the stock. Will this even work? I just bet there’s a better way. Also, should it take this long to cut out the flag? I don’t know about feeds and speeds yet, and just accept what’s in the library.

You can use a REST machining toolpath w/ a pocket — if you offset to the outside, then that new outer geometry should all be cuttable by a reasonable size tool, so the REST machining feature will only trouble over the original.

I put a big circle around the outside & used rest milling. I know it won’t be looking to cut that.
