Need help with what should be a simple task - Advent wreath holder

Hey folks! Getting some time in the shop this weekend, and I am struggling with what I thought would be a simple task. I have been tasked with making a candle holder for our Advent wreath. The first picture shows my initial go at it, and while functional, I was challenged to make it a bit more ornate. The pencil lines show what the desired results are and where the candle holes should go. I am just struggling to get this done in Carbide Create. Any advice would be greatly appreciated… especially with Advent starting tomorrow… I work best under duress, apparently!

Project specs:
1 - 10" circle
4 - 0.92" holes evenly spaced
The middle area is recessed with bowl bit for placing greenery in to give the feeling of a wreath.

This is fantastic, I really appreciate all the work you put into this explanation! I will work on replicating this as soon as we get home this evening and see how it comes out! THANK YOU!

Here is the one I did 250 of last year.

Thanks @WillAdams ! Followed your instructions and the end result was what the wife was looking for! I need to do some finishing and address some areas where the wood had some knots but it came out great. Couldnt have done it without you!

The idea of using the sketch picture as the backdrop was what really did it for me. I knew there was a way to do what I needed to, but it was escaping me. I am not a good artist,m but that was enough to guide me in the direction I needed.

Thanks to you and this great community!

Knots give it character, it’s wood. Great project!
