Does anyone know if the X and Y NEMA23 motor specification were ever shared? Sticker mentions 2Amp, that’s about it.
I’m looking into a new controller with closed-loop steppers from OMC.

I’m looking into a new controller with closed-loop steppers from OMC.
The motors should be similar to, if not the same as:
Stepper Motor - 125 oz.in (200 steps/rev, 600mm Wire)
EDIT: excepting of course the connectors, and also the shaft length.
Some folks have gone w/ more powerful motors, and of course, when replacing the controller, all bets are off, so long as one gets one w/ that much or more holding power.
Thanks Will!
I notice the 1/4" shaft. What sort of pulley is used? I’ll need to find a 6mm or 8mm version since OMC only has very limited options for 1/4" shaft. 6mm/8mm is much bigger.
Pulley is a 20-tooth Gates GT2 pulley wide enough to take a 15mm wide belt — you can use other sizes, just need to do the math for steps/mm.
EDIT: So long as the motor torque and so forth are appropriate to the pulley in question.
If you’re in the US you can probably get the OEM Gates pulleys from somebody like SDP SI, otherwise Powge on AliExpress have a good selection
Yeah, I’ll stick with 20-tooth so the math works out the same.
I’ve bought alot from POWGE for my 3D printer, but alas they don’t have 15mm wide pulleys.
I found another store that has 20tooth 2GT, 15mm wide, with an 8mm bore.
I’d suggest the 8mm shaft over the 6mm which is a bit subject to work hardening and failure when tensioned heavily.
