New Install, VFD Spindle is spinning backwards (counter-clockwise)

Hello,

I just completed assembling my Shapeoko 5 Pro with VFD Spindle. I went to cut my first project and noticed the spindle was running counter-clockwise. Are there any settings on the VFD controller or can I change the wiring? I am in the queue for support, but thought I would try here in the mean time.

AIUI, there’s a wiring change which should reverse the spindle.

VFD Spindle Counter Clockwise

Since the spindle is a 3 phase motor, swapping a one pair of the three motor wires would reverse the spin. However, as i don’t own a spindle, let alone a C3d spindle, I don’t know how difficult that may be. And then there’s the whole matter of warranty voiding stuff.

@WillAdams is correct. As weird as it sounds to a non-electrical person - swapping any two wires on a 3-phase motor will reverse the direction of rotation.
