Used my Nomad 4 for prototype PCB creation.
1/8th shank 0.8mm flat endmill, 10k spindle rpm. 20 minute processing time. Flawless
The Nomad is a little noisy but the results are worth it:)
Nice, Art. Did you tack-solder to the Vectorboard for fixturing?
Hey Randy,
No the vector board underneath is a “sacrifice board” I used 3M foam 0.072" thick double sided VHB to secure the proto board. THis allows me to punch through without hitting the sacrifice board. It is also helpful when setting the Z zero, you can slightly compress by .003" to allow for wavy copper clad, it insures a reliable cut without mapping the part.
Regards,
Art
I will be making some round bus bars for LEDs this weekend. Given your results I might just make em out of pcbs instead of the copper sheet I had originally planned.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Art. Like Randy said nice.
I have a Nomad 3 and want to try producing circuit boards. So, what CAD program are you using to design your boards?
Bernd
Fusion 360
Was an Altium subscriber but it got too expensive.
