Say you want to add some socket head screws and maybe some washers to hold down the middle of your workpieces to keep them evenly flat (think 1/4” plywood). It would sure be great to have (and I think fairly easy to implement) no-go zones for the tool paths.
For example, if I was fastening my board in the middle of the workpiece using 6 socket head screws and Teez Nuts, I could create no-go zones around them using the circle or rectangle tool, which would make sure that, regardless of my retract height, the CNC would avoid these zones so I don’t break my bit on the socket heads or washers.
Would be even better if you could customize that option per tool path, so you could carve out the fastener holes as pockets and then avoid them on the remaining tool paths. On that note, would also be nice to have retract height configurable by tool path instead of being a global setting.
