After my catastrophic failure, driving the Z axis into the board, bending a 1.25 inch bit to a 90° angle, which caused all sorts of pieces to fly off the machine, I now don’t have any power.
I do have power at the power source. As shown by the green light. It is plugged properly into the module. And the switch is set to the on position. I tried both positions just to be completely sure.
But, my button which normally lights up blue when I depress it stays unlit, and the machine has no power.
When I had my catastrophic failure, is it possible that there was some fuse or switch that got flipped to protect the machine? If not, are there limit switches that may have been thrown off that until corrected won’t allow the machine to power up?
Thank you very much in advance for your help guys and gals.
Did you hit the E-stop button on the pendent if you have one for your machine? If you did hit the E-stop, then check the pendent to see if it has been reset for normal use. Also check to see if the pendent is still plugged into your power supply box. If all that looks good, then unplug everything from the power box, (take note of where everything plugs into), then unplug the box itself from the wall. Let it set for one minute or so and then plug all of the wires back into the power box before plugging it back into the wall. The pendent being unplugged, or plugged into the wrong port will not allow your machine to turn on, that is why I ask if your machine has the pendent and if you had to rush and push the button. You could have pulled the cable out at it’s port with all of the excitement of the crash and not even realize it.
If the power still don’t come back on, then it would be time to call customer support and talk with them. They will be able to help figure out if something inside the power box has been damaged and needs replaced. The machine doesn’t know when a crash happens unless some of the internals are overworked and possibly burn up, kind of like a surge of energy.
