Node editing upgrades

I’ve seen several topics on this before (since locked due to age), but it would be really nice to move a node in a more precise manor without having to mess around with snaping to grid which seems to be the recommended work around, but is a pain in the butt if your node isn’t on the grid. Having some more node editing tools would be much better.

Ideas.

  1. how about when I click on a node in node editor I can then press M and move it with the same move tools as for entire vectors. including showing the x,y of the node and being able to direct edit.
  2. click on node in node editor and hold Shift to lock your mouse movement to horizontal and vertical
  3. click on a node in node editor and press the arrow key to move the node the desired direction

Those are the couple off the top of my head, I’m sure there are many others.

Thanks

Allow nodes to snap to nodes. (and give is hotkeys for “snap to grid” & “snap to node”)

On the topic of node editing, it would be excellent to have skewing options like “Flag” or “Oval”. These are available on my vinylmaster software, in which you can drag out any complete vector set (text or shapes) in a consistent scaled fashion. It’s a great way to uniformally arch anything, add wavy patterns to text, etc.
