Noise issue problem

Hi anyone of you know related issue problem with noise that I can feel cuz I am deaf since not understand why what happened? here is video by click here Watch 818216c9-9312-48a3-8a37-8e9746c12fb3 | Streamable to watch what did you hear noise what cause come from? I struggled it not working anyone help tip what should I do? Thanks.

Check if y limit switch is being triggered, sounds like the motor is trying to continue moving to home position. You can see the x limit switch light up in your video, check to see if the y limit switch lights up as well.

Is this a new machine being set up for the first time? Or a machine which was working which has developed a problem?

See:

I watched video how and what to do but still same noise and repeat few time. Updated Carbide Motion to Build 667 and set up and processed but it still same problem. It only about 2 years old can’t understand why I think company seem not right design related software or wire to connection or another dunno! few message still not clear what I understand all about ummm. Puzzled so after updated Carbide Motion v6 (Build 667) also not found machine due not compeleted.

Here is a link to a problem like the one you are having Shapeoko XL Initialization problems - #2 by avetrano

This is the text that I posted

Sounds like you may have an issue with the wiring for the limit sensors or the connectors for the sensors.

I would power up the machine but don’t initialize it and check the sensors to see if the red light on the sensor come on. Use your collet wrench and place it on the sensor. the light should illuminate red on the sensor and the indicator light on the control board should also light up.

Red on the sensor = it sensed the object
Blue on the control board (or another color) = the PC board received the signal

If either or both of the lights don’t light up first check all connectors and pins. Place a metal object on the sensor and wiggle each connector one at a time and see if the lights work. Open up each connector and look for pins that have been pushed out or damaged.

Usually it is a connector issue if you do find a bad connector or if you still have a problem contact support@

Hope this helps.

There are two indicator lights that need to light up
One is the RED led on the proximity switch…When Lighted this indicates the sensor has sensed an object in its sensing area.

The second light that is in the circuit board that the proximity sensor is connected to. This light should be BLUE (thats the color on my board). When this light is Light it indicates the wiring from the sensor has sent a signal to the control board. If this Light Is not lit when there is an object in the sensors path and the red light on the sensor is on there is in issue with the wiring and or a connector has an open circuit.

To test this follow the steps above and wiggle test the connectors and look at the control board to see if the blue Led lights up or flickers. If it does either of these two there is an issue at or near the connector you were wiggling.
Inspect the terminals on the connector for damaged pins or burnt pins.

Sorry I had pictures of the lights but have no idea where they have been placed.
