Offline controler for Shapeoko 4

Do anyone know if an of the shelf offline controller would work for the shapeoko 4?
And if yes any suggestions?

A Carbide 3D board connected to a computer running Carbide Motion is off-line — no network connection needed (many of our customers use “sneakernet” to get files to the computers in their shop.

If you want something more stand-alone perhaps a Raspberry Pi?
