Opening a 3D STL purchased file

Good Afternoon. I am extremely new to CNC. I have a Shapeko 3 XL. I have been learning to carve lots of 2D projects and now wanting to move toward some 3D work. I purchased what looked to a simple 3D project. an Eagle on a Flag. The file was downloaded as an STL. I have a Carbide Create Pro version license. The file is still opening. What am I doing wrong or how to I proceed?

Can you put on here how it was done?

I’m stuck trying to figure out much with the 3d. I saw the videos but you go a little fast with the settings

Anyway you could do an in-depth preview of the 3d functions. Fundamentals from start to finish ?
