OpenSCAD to rotate STL

I’ve got a minor issue with an STL file - when I pull i into CC it’s not rotated correctly. I need to reorient it but if I load it into openscad and rotate it there and then export a new STL when I try and import it into CC I get nothing at all.

Am I missing something? Is there a rotate this object when loading feature I’ve missed in CC?

Why not rotate/reorient it in the Import dialog in Carbide Create?

Or, if you are using Windows, Microsoft’s 3D Builder will allow rotation.
