Just saw this pop up in a maker’s youtube channel; it combines two things I like, photography and desktop manufacturing. First time I’ve seen such a slick spin on “co-creation”.
(not an endorsement or ad or anything- I find it kinda interesting)

Not exactly the same but I thought this system from Thiniverse that can be adapted for cameras, phones and tablets was also interesting and has a public license.
