Photo Carving on Wood

This is really hard to make out but its a photo of my daughter and her dog she had for 17 years that recently passed away. She wrote a beautiful tribute to him in a magazine she writes for and used this photo. I am considering carving this on a wood plaque as a gift for her. It’s an SVG file I created but I really don’t know where to start. I’m just 2 weeks into using my new 5.1 Pro and have been studying this site and countless videos. Any assistance and guidance would be appreciated.

This was announced/demoed in a limited way a while back — had occasion to reference it in a support ticket recently, so here’s the text from that: We have a halftone generator which will accept black and white images, so you will need to convert any image into a black and white picture. I made a free web app a while ago that uses monocular depth estimation (instead of just grayscale height mapping) to give some convexity to these sorts of reliefs. It’s hosted here if anyone finds this thread and is interested. [Screenshot_20260303_010025_Chrome]
