Physical Start Button and External E-Stop

I did a search and found one post asking about adding a physical start button. The short thread was about 3 years old (feb 2022). The answer then was to run it through a raspberry pi. I am wondering if this is the still the case. We are looking at getting an additional Shapeoko 5 pro for running one product line and I would much rather my operators have the ability to just hit a physical start button after reloading their parts.

Also,
I will be putting this system in an enclosure and placing door safety switches so the system cannot run when the doors are open. Is there a limit on e-stop cycles in this controller? I have had one brand of robot we use that is limited on e-stop cycles and I just want to be sure this wasn’t the case here or if I am better off tying “my do no run while doors are open” signal into the feed hold ckt.

Thank you in advance.

For the wiring specifics, not sure if we can offer guidance from support or no, but please start by checking in there.

I did read that post before creating mine, but, since this was older than the start button post from 2022 that I found I wasn’t sure if it had been updated.

Thank you for your response, I will look into doing this.
