Playing card holder

I am new to wood working and especially CNC. I just got my Pro 5 2x2 a few weeks ago and this is my first design and build with it. I’ve made some boxes and a lot of mistakes too. I made this for my mother who loves playing bridge with her friends.

That’s awesome, especially for a first project! Looks like you jumped in headfirst and managed to actually execute on your vision, congrats :grinning:

It looks like the card tray that holds the boxes is carved from a single piece and the card boxes are a nice snug fit.
I wonder if those single piece walls will twist a bit with humidity and temp changes. Might be worth keeping an eye out for any binding when inserting/removing decks

Completely unrelated, my wife swears by her razor naga. I probably replaced the left click on hers like 3 times before getting annoyed enough to scavenge a switch from an old G502. Haven’t had a problem since.
(Hopefully that info never becomes relevant for you :yum:)

Welcome to the community, I’m looking forward to seeing what you cut next!

Totally digging this. Your design is really great. I like how all the parts go together. It appears very functional and just plain looks good to boot! Nice job!
