Plunge and Rapid hidden in Carbide Create

boxlid1.c2d (25.1 KB)

I’ve created this file. When I run it, there’s a plunge and a rapid that damages the work piece. I don’t see this in Carbide Create, but I do see it in Camotics.

I’m sure it’s a setting I have wrong, but I can’t figure it out.

Is anyone available to take a look, and point out what I have wrong? I’m using the top and center for the zero. I want it to contour the design a few mm into the surface.

CAMotics requires configuration to accommodate the G53 command — I usually edit it out.

The plunge and rapid occur in CM. It’s not just in Camotics.

Yes, but in Carbide Motion the G53 movement happens relative to the machine coordinates, so should be at the top of the machine envelope.

If that’s not happening on your machine you’re probably losing steps.
