PNG to STL Conversion website

Does anyone know where I can get a PNG file converted to A gray scale STL for 3D carving on a 5 Pro. I have tried all the “Free” stuff but none are high enough quality.

This isn’t a conversion (unless the pixel image is a height/depth map, in which case it can be directly loaded), as an analysis and re-creation, presumably using AI.

Perhaps:

I’m new to CNC. I have a Shapeoko I just ordered today. This is also my first post in this forum.

I suggest trying Inkscape, which is free. Inkscape you can turn a png into an SVG. You could then import that SVG file into an app capable of creating an STL like Blender, Fusion 360, or OpenSCAD. Carbide 3D’s software may create STLs from SVGs, but I have no clue.

Edit: to be clear, you will still have to do the manual extrusion of the shape and height of the STL, but SVGs give you shapes you can easily extruded in a 3D modeling software.

I often use convertio.co to go into SVG (vector graphics)

There’s more work to give everything depth, but I’ve heard it’s possible, I just haven’t done it

I frequently use it to add logos to designs
