I need to basically surface my board down 1/8 of an inch. All area except for one circle.
If I select the outline of the board and select pocket, it encompasses the circle that I want to leave intact.
How do I accomplish this?
Or is pocket not the correct cut for this?
draw a rectangle around the perimeter of your board. Select the rectangle and the circle and do a pocket. Check out the preview and you should get the circle left and the surface of the board pocketed. I would really make the rectangle slightly bigger to make sure you dont leave a small wall around the perimeter.
The simulation seems like that should work. I have not cut it yet.

Doing CNC work requires a special way of visualizing a project. It can be daunting, but it is not impossible.
