I am trying to design a sign and want to pocket cut an area that has other design elements in it but when I choose pocket cut it takes those elements out.
What am I doing wrong?

If you want the bulk of the face being pocketed within the orange vector you selected but going around the other features inside it, you will need to multi-select (shift+click) to add the two outer vectors of the eyes, and the outer vector of the nose. It is telling CM "pocket inside the outer shape, but leave those inner “islands” alone)
