hello, this is my first time here. I have very little experience. I need to pocket a round hole in PTFE where the bottom hole will have a diameter less than the diameter at the top. The diameter at the top will be 52 mm, I am hoping to have a diameter of say 48 mm on the bottom which will be at the bottom of my stock. Thickness is around 3.2 mm. thanks.
I think you need CC pro and do a 3d model to get this done properly.
You will need a 3D model; unless, you can find a V bit with the desired taper.
For these values, you need a V bit with an included angle of 64 degrees. If you use a 60 deg Vbit instead for the profile, your taper would run from 52mm to 48.3 mm.
So, first do a pocket on a circle that is 48.3mm across, then to a No Offset contour on the circle using the 60 deg bit to get the taper.

Actually, I was overthinking it - just do an Advanced VCarve (with a clearing bit) on a circle that is 52mm across, using a 60 deg bit.
