Rotary device for a nomad was closed 2 hours after I replied to it. But it does look like 30 days after it was created, as if all the replies weren’t registered in the system.
Could you Carbide3D folks please re-open it please? thank you
Otherwise, if I’ve become posting Kryptonite I’d appreciate knowing too…
No worries, the topics are closed after 30 days regardless of replies. It’s fairly annoying and has been commented on before but
It actually closed 2 minutes before I hit reply (I’ve got updates ) so I’ve already requested it be re-opened
As far as I know there’s no kryptonite going on. I’d expect a message or something from staff if that were the case…though usually comments of that severity tend to be deleted outright instead of just closing a topic. We’re probably fine…hopefully
I appreciate the ongoing interest in this silly little project. Keeps the momentum up!
Edit: staff can feel free to correct any assumptions I’ve made here
Agree with @Stankus and that’s actually how I thought it worked since it would keep active threads alive and allow the slow ones to end. Rather than having an arbitrary 30 day period for all posts, regardless of activity.
@mhotchin, the topic in question was created this October 18, and Rob’s post you quoted was from September 2023, so go figure. Thank you for finding that though, I thought I had read somewhere about closing 30 days from last reply. But it’s not a world-changing issue as long as topics can be re-opened…
