After cutting about 15 plaques, when my machine would go to the probe to measure tool length, it goes down about an inch very slowly and then stops like its probing 5 inches above the probe button. Any ideas?
Which Z-axis does your machine have?
What are you cutting? Could it be that it is losing steps on plunging/moving down?
Which version of Carbide Motion are you using?
Some people have their BitZero magnet grounded on something. However you usually get a probe error on the screen. Just for giggles check where your magnet on the BitZero is dangling and make sure it is not touching anything that can ground it. The BitZero and BitSetter are interconnected.
