Problem creating a rectangle

I created a rectangle in carbide create and it cut an x from corner to corner through the middle instead. Any idea what i did wrong?

Did you do a V carving toolpath with a tool which wasn’t large enough to cut the entire rectangle or with the depth limited so that that wasn’t possible?

Options:

  • use a larger tool, and allow full depth
  • if tool is large enough, increase depth
  • use Advanced V carving instead
