Problem cutting box joints on Shapeoko PRO

How can I fix the uneven fingers (off by 1/16") on my box joints

How did you draw up the files? Are they correct?

How did you measure the stock thickness? Was this accurate and consistent for all four boards?

How did you secure the stock? Did it move/shift?

How did you set zero relative to the stock? Did you gang up two or four boards?

Why do traditional box joints? At a minimum one has to do 3 operations:

  • cut parts to size
  • clamp four boards and cut two corners
  • rotate boards and cut remaining two corners

Why not do (for example) full blind miter box joints which can be cut flat on the machine?
