Problem with bitzero

new version after setting Z-zero asks to r3emove ground electrod, and immediately without! lifting the router moves in x-direction, dragging the bitzero aluminum body over the stock.

Anything to avoid this?

Are you setting zeros with a C3D BitZero? If so, what version BitZero? What version of Carbide Motion are you using?

Ed: 1. yes
2. V2.0 (the one with the “hole”)
Carbide Motion 635
and: worked well until I got the new controller board, and installed the 635.

(it may be that I installed new waste board, few mm thicker, and need a 1inch stock? Will try with a “thinner” stock tomorrow.)

I wouldn’t think the new spoil board would make a difference here in setting zero’s using the BitZero. You might try running the setup wizzard again being super careful to select the correct machine configuration. Then when using the BitZero be sure to select the correct version. That’s all I got. If that doesn’t help maybe a note to support may be in order.

My bad: combination of thick stock and a too long bit. Nothing wrong with the bit zero or bit runner.
