I am having a problem with finishing in Meshcam. The roughing operation goes well but the finishing operation reliably fails. I have noticed that there are deep gouges in the wood and the operation always fails due to some error. When I observe the machine in operation it plunges the tool deep into the wood which causes it to lock up fairly often. This then seems to knock the machine off the original zero and causes all subsequent operations to be in the wrong location.
Oh yes, I’m sorry. That is not the same model that was pictured in the original photo. But it does happen with every model. Here is are photos showing this model being milled and you can see the deep gouges.
Just wondering if anyone had any additional thoughts on this. I have been using carbide create pro which seems to fix it for now but MeshCam is what i am more comfortable with.
