Hello everyone willing to chime in, how’s it going?
Just wanted to touch back on an old topic “Stacked Lettering” since CC has gotten some
updates that may very well help make the process easier?
If anyone has done this or does this all the time and wouldn’t mind sharing their steps, bits used, etc?

I don’t think any features have been added which address this recently — just layers and the new Boolean Union functionality.
If anything at the end of the thread:
I’ve been using a different hobby cnc machine with it’s own software for a number of years. The attached picture is an example of a plaque that I create with this software and machine.
I am trying to decide between purchasing a Shapeoko XXL or a X-Carve 1000x1000. I’ve gone through all the pros and cons of each machine. I’ve done a ton of reading on both machines forums. The “usability” of the base software that comes with each machine will play a part in my decision.
I’ve used both Carbid…
needs to be updated, let me know.
Alternately, @fenrus wrote up a very nice set of instructions at:
The folks at Carbide3D announced a new beta feature in Carbide Create: Layers.

This tutorial gives this new feature a spin using the beta version, to make a stacked-text sign. I’ll try to make this an entry-level tutorial (screenshots for every small step) for those who are relatively new to CNC and want to make their own stack text signs.
For the example I’ll stack “your” on top of “text here”… since that’s boring in general you should replace that with the text you…

well with the Advanced V Carve and possibly even the Vcarve (haven’t really used that yet) isnt there now a way to set the depth of the V bits? I think that’s new from back when you first posted that Could Use Some Guidance post

Setting the depth of the Advanced V carving is shown the most recent version of the instructions which start at:
Here is another example, done on request from support:
which is to be cut to:
Material is .759"
Lower text .2" from top flat end mill
Upper text .1 from top. 60 or 90 v
If you’re having trouble doing this with some text, post the file, and the cutting specifications and we’ll walk through it w/ you.

No no, just was hoping some other people might show off their stacked signs and say what they did to make it. The second post you provided earlier is Very Very Detailed and should help me or anyone else looking to try this out though
