Purchase Shapeoko Pro without Hybrid Table

I wanted to purchase Shapeoko Pro but without the Hybrid Table.
I was told it wasnt available like that. Its available on the 4 without the hybrid table and its a $330 usd savings. For us Canadians that works out to close to $460 with exchange fees.
I think it would be a good option to have.

What are you going to replace it with which costs less, but which is as rigid?

Hi Will. I see that without the Hybrid table their is an aluminum frame underneath. I was going to place a sheet of 3/4 in MDF on top and secure it.

If you’re reducing the rigidity thus, you’ll get the same functionality w/ an SO4 sans Hybrid Table.

Even if you were planning on using something like this:

they are even using the hybrid rails to hold the plate down.
