Are you trying to import them into Carbide Create using a Pro license as shown at:

https://guides.carbide3d.com/create-pro/3d-tool-import-stl/

Are the files Binary or ASCII? Open in a text editor and upload a screen grab showing the content?

they were sent to me via email with a download icon

Thank you all for your inputs

Thank you Will I figured it out it was through STL file option in the CC pro . have a great day

I recently bought a rocking horse plan from etsy. The plan had no templates. I wanted to convert to svg to cut on my so3. Requested a refund. Vendor sent me message that if I changed my review from 1 to 5 he would refund. I just requested refund from etsy and got it. Other reviews were also 1’s. Should have looked at reviews before buying. Hind sight is always 20/20. Always check reviews before purchasing. My experience with Etsy has been hit or miss with images.

A lot of Etsy sellers bundle large 3D relief files inside a .zip or .rar archive, or they upload a PDF receipt containing a Google Drive / Dropbox download link because of Etsy’s upload size cap. Once you get the actual .stl extracted on your Mac, remember you have to bring it in through the Modeling tab (Import 3D Model) in Carbide Create Pro rather than standard File -> Open. Also, quite a few Etsy relief models are exported straight out of ZBrush or Blender with inverted normals or open boundary edges that make 3D toolpath generation act weird, so I usually drop them into STL Mesh Inspector: Triangle Count, Volume & Watertightne... first to make sure the mesh is actually watertight before setting up the roughing pass.
