PVC fence lesson learned

When I cut the holes for my PVC fence I put them about half an inch too close to the front of the machine.

When I clamp there is not enough space for the back of the clamp. I will make some more appropriate pieces to serve the need but in the meantime I use some measurement blocks to fill in.

Something to consider if you do this as well.

Great idea. Thanks.
I don’t have a 3D printer but have a buddy with one.

I second those low profile clamps. I printed out a couple and they really do come in handy!

Been there and done that, but with wooden blocks, which do not have to be the perfect size.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t done that but I could see myself doing it. It’s always cool to see people post their mistakes online to help others.

I have plenty to share.

but your clamping looks good to me, even with those blocks.

more than one way to accomplish the task I guess

Yes, it works fine, just tedious. I have a friend printing me a few sets of the shorter clamps linked above.
