Question about crv file

If I have a crv file, how would I import it into CCV7? Doe’s CCPro recognize crv files? If not, what software would?

.crv is the file extension for proprietary Vectric Vcarve files.

You will need a licensed copy of Vectric Vcarve to open the file and export it in a non-proprietary vector file format such as .svg which could then be imported into Carbide Create.

Thank you I apricate the information.

@RetiredLeo - If you can post your .crv file, I’ll see if I can make the conversion for you, if you’d like.
However, I have an older version of Aspire, so it won’t open all of the newer file formats.

Depending on what is in the file anyone with VCarve can open it and export is as an svg for you to import into CC.

If Mike can’t get it converted, I can take a stab at it, again depending on what’s in it.

Chris

I tried to post it and I got this message…Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, mcf, stl, tps, dxf, c2d, zip, egc, nc, svg, hex, h, tap)…

This is what is in the file.

To post a non C2D file.
Just rename the File. Delete the Extension and Replace it with “.c2d”

Here is a Vectric File with a C2D file extension.

2d Wavy flag.c2d (2.3 MB)

I was gong to post that too but didn’t know if it would be OK. Good workaround though!

Welp… The converted file is too big to upload…

Do you have a native compression program available? You could try right clicking the file and check.

In Vectric, Select all the Vectors and export as an SVG.
File… Export…SVG
Then import the SVG in to CC.

I did that and then opened it in CC and then save. It was a tick over 8MB. The upload limit is 4MB. I emailed the c2d to Frank.

If you have a google drive then upload it and make it available to anyone that has the link. Copy the link and then post the link.

Could have done that yes.

We were able to get it handled via email.
