I have a file that I need to offset a vector by .001. I have no idea how to do this but would like to learn for future issues. I am new to all this and only have CCV7. Can it be done?
Sure it can.
Select the vector
Select “Offset Vector”

Enter the distance & direction

Apply
Zoom way in to see the offset

Thank you so much. Sorry if that question sounded stupid, but this is all so new to me. I am an old school wood worker. All this technology is a learning experience for me.
There are no stupid questions, just experiences you have not encountered.
Good luck with your venture
Thank you. I am sure there will be a lot more I encounter.
Me too. Started my apprenticeship as a pattern/model maker at 13 (circa 1976). I was making ±0.001" tolerance models before I graduated high school. Jumped on the CAD/CAM bandwagon in 1987. I loved it, but I really missed making sawdust. ![]()
I had a bunch of mentors that helped me learn the trade, and just learn in general. If I can pass something on, I will.
As I told my kids, and now my grandkids, “Learn something every day!” ![]()
