If I but 8gb ram will this run the system good! Or can some recommend me a tablet based system I hear people using. Thank you for your time.

Pretty much any tablet will work so long as it runs Windows 10 and has a USB connection available after power is connected. The developers use Surface tablets and some folks find the Surface Go workable while others complain of the performance of it (I mislike it 'cause MS left out a chip which improves stylus performance). The Lenovo Yogabook C930 has been noted as a nice option (though one worries about the hinge in a shop).
