I have seen a few posts relating to this.
But I’m wondering, are there any plans to add a raster cut to carbide?
Seems kind of silly that we don’t have such a basic tool path.

It actually gives a better finish than the spiral cut.
It does give a better finish. Be aware of the extents of the path though. The stepovers to the next pass will occur ON the boundary, so if you’re in a pocket you need to offset those boundaries in by the radius of the cutter. It will also most likely not extend to the boundaries in the other direction, so you may need to adjust the boundaries or the stepover to get it to work out right.
It’s mainly intended for open faces with no walls.
