This project does not belong to the “What did you cut on your Shapeoko today” thread as it took me almost a year to finish it, mostly because life took priority but also due to grossly underestimating the work required, sigh.
It all started when I figured I would reuse the wooden double doors inside our house and reshape them into something modern-looking. I reused the door frames, removed the window tiles, and started from there.
Modeled the project in Fusion360,
Which is where things went out of control, realizing that between the door frame, inner parts and outer anodized aluminum parts to cover it from all sides, I ended up with 2x100+ parts to cut:
Obviously some tiling was involved
And then assembling the new inner structure,
cutting and fitting the aluminium parts,
(Very) long story short, almost a year later the new double doors are now installed and I can call this done!
