Am I missing something. Looking for a parts diagram for my 3 XXL. A pulley was slipping on the right hand Y and I noticed it only had one set screw even though there are two holes. Is it intended to have two? Where can I order these parts?
Yes, it should have two set screws.
They are standard M3 set screws (~o.a.l. 5mm if memory serves), but you can use an M3 SHCS (or other fastener style) — some folks use them of a suitable length (8–10mm) so that a larger tool can be used for securing them.
As @WillAdams stated it is a 3MM set or grub screw. Some people just get 3MM X 10MM Long cap screws to replace the tiny set screws. The cap screw has a bigger allen wrench and makes it easier to tighten them without stripping the tiny heads of the 3MM set screws.
There is plenty of room for a 10MM long cap screw to not hit anything. The 3MM set screws work fine but the allen is very small and you can strip them easily and then you have a real mess. You can get them out or in.
You can put thread sealer but only use REMOVEABLE and not PERMANENT. Permanent takes fire to loosen them and a Shapeoko and fire do not mix well.
Thanks for the response. I ordered the screws.
Thanks. Screws on order.
