Replacement spoil board in Canada

Where can one purchase a spoil board for Shapeoko 3D machine 42” x 40” size in Canada?

We only carry a few sizes of the MDF slats.

MDF spoilboards for the SO3s are large, delicate at the corners and made of material which is inexpensive to buy, but expensive to ship, so most folks just source material locally, pull the old board as a template and then drill holes and counterbores using transfer punches as a guide.

We do have files for them:

as a starting point if need be.

I have an SO3 XXL and made my spoilboard slight smaller than the cutting area so I can completely flatten the surface. The original size spoilboard you cannot cut the very back and leave a lip. That causes problems if you do a tiling job. Attached are the documents I made to help with SO3 spoilboard replacement. The measurements are in Imperial so convert to metric if needed.

I use tee nuts and cam clamps with a long L bracket to hold my projects square to the router. Here is the .c2d file for the cam clamps and long L bracket.

If anyone actually had an SO3 spoilboard in stock, which I doubt, the freight would be more than the spoilboard. MDF works well. I have changed to use bottom of material for 90% of my projects. That helps prevent tearing up my spoilboard. Give using bottom of material a try. One caution is in Jog Quick Actions the Z +6mm will
crash into your project if you are over the project. So jog off the material before doing a Z +6mm.
