I have to replace the router on my 4x and was wondering if anyone has a way of opening the track clips without breaking a bunch of them.
Thanks
Jim

I just carefully use a pry bar along one side — some folks will use a flat-bladed screwdriver at the end.
I just had to open my drag chain 3 times in a day (joy)…I used a long hex key under one end, levering off the next (closed) link. They open pretty easily without breaking. If you keep the chain as straight as possible and work in the direction of the levering closed link (so there’s always a closed link to lever against), it does go fairly safely and quickly.
I just remove the cord from both routers, install the new router, and rewire it with the old cord. My biggest reason for doing it that way was because I replaced the Carbide router with a Makita, and the cord on the Makita was going to be too short.
