I’m seeing needless repetition of the previous path with a subsequent bit. This, in red, is the path plotted for a 0.254 mm bit.
When I follow that up with a 0.15 mm bit I get this path, again in red, using the 0.254 as the rest machine diameter:
Only a few of these areas seem necessary to mill with the smaller bit, there are no small details in the relatively smooth contours of the vectors. This is just a part of a much larger project, with a lot of this redundancy, where this would add many, many machining hours.
There was a previous post with a more limited example of this within carved letters. Tod, with 1 d, responded that understating the Previous Diameter seemed to help. Seems kludgy but I was willing to give it a try. But CC won’t allow me to enter any values smaller than 0.250 mm.
