unsure if this has been mentioned, but every 6-8 months I go throught the process of resurfacing my MDF top… I wish there was a quick job in Motion that would do this for me.
Do you not make a CC project for the surfacing? Now that I have the project, just load, set my zeros and go!
I don’t see how a CM built-in could improve on that. PLUS, since I have customized the bed of my machine, I can surface the bed my machine actually has, rather than the one CM thinks it has.
I have a “CNC Jobs” folder on my laptop in the shop. I keep all my surfacing .nc files in there, as well as several programs to cut my logo, several keyhole programs. I name them “surface_27x21” for example for my spoilboard.
I downloaded the one off of Cutrocket by Kevin B. Adjusted as needed for my 4x4 and have it in a folder Tod1D mentions above. When needed, load file and run.
CC and CM have two different purposes, while it may be possible to do this is it really worth the level of effort for C3D?
Part of what helped me learn CAD/CAM was the need to use both.
